IN MOTION 3

I have been an artist since the age of 8. My current series of paintings connect my passion for both painting and motion. In May of 2015, I was accepted as a member of the Los Angeles Artists Association/Gallery 825.

CYCLING SERIES

In Motion Series

I am attracting viewers to see my vision of motion. It is in every aspect of my life. This vision of motion exists whether I am cycling, at the beach, atop a mountain, shopping with family, or sitting on a couch. This notion of “In Motion” is metaphysical. In researching this notion, I came across a quote from Aristotle. “Metaphysics involves intuitive knowledge of unprovable starting-points (concepts and truth) and demonstrate knowledge of what follows them.”

"Art does not reproduce what we see; rather, it makes us see" - Paul Klee

I captured cyclists juxtaposed with what I consider the mundane. There is always at least one other figure in the composition.
